The ignitor battery is dead or low? My plug is glowing but from what I remember its not glowing enough. Seems very week to me. Couldn't be the pluf because on all 4 of my cars the plugs seem to glow weak.

Are the plugs supposed to glow bright or barely glowing? I have one of those big batteries with the positive and negative hook up for almost 2 weeks. I did use it a lot, well everyday tuning my mammoth st. How long is the battery supposed to last?

Sounds like the battery is getting low. The plug should glow bright. A nicely tuned engine will start with just a dull glow but I'd say it's time to replace/charge it.

I've never kept track of how long my batteries last but I get a lot of starts on a single charge in my rechargeable c-cell igniter.

I went out with my XT2 yesterday and after taking a nasty 4 flip spill my pin that goes through the piston and connects to the lifter inside popped out and shot out through the exhaust hehehe. Needles to say, no go.

Came home, took it apart and replaced the pin. Compression is there but it just won't start. Sounds like it wants to but it just won't. So after about 15min or so I left the XT2 alone and wanted to start the Mammoth but that was a no go too. So I checked my glow plugs on both cars and they are barely lit and only half way.

I'm assuming at this point its the battery. I'll run to Hobby People today with my glows and try out one of their ignitors. If it is my battery, no biggy. 7 dollar fix hehe.
