As I just got my new LST in a trade.. I am already working on a cage that will be made of the same proven black plastic.. There is a lot more opptions on the LST than the savage.. but I designed it this way with the sugestions from Montago.. He has a lot of experince with these trucks and has used a simular cage (made of matal) that protected well, but didnt hold up to his abuse.. So the design was good, but once again the big name manufactures wont reconize that there are better materials to use than metal for a cage.. So until then, I am proving to you guys that there is a such thing as "indestructable" cages...

In progress..

I will have this one done by tonight.. and Montago is the "tester" for this style.. Still have another design (my own) that I wanna fab up..

MAn that is weet! I am trying to get a hold of one myself. If I get one I will be happy to help you test that pupy out!!! Help ya out!!

Uhhm.. lets see, I think it has all the team losi hard anodized skid plates, AL diff cases, RPM arms, threaded shock bodies, not sure if sway bars are stock.. and there is all kinda of little things that I am not sure about.. 23mm wheels, had a new era roll bar... Few other things..

Thanks and will do...

looking good skip.
everytime i see a thread about the LST i start to miss mine....:(

let us know how it holds up

You know this one is kinda set up for bashing.. And I wont abandon the savage as the king of bashers.. growing up (and even today) I regaurd Losi for building awsome handling vehicals.. I have an itch to strip this truck down to its lowest weight and race prep it for tracks.. Since you know your trucks, and you have had this one, do you have any thoughts on that..?

P.S. I was VERY close to buying yours when you had it up for sale..!

If you saving weight, i highly suggest ditching the dual-servo steering and convert to a single. My jr 8550 swings my LST around.

Yea thats one of the things I want to do IF its worth it.. Along with forward only, ditching the low gears, and dual battery set up... but is it a race truck then...? at least better than the savage is...?

Skip if you do make more than one, LMK I am interested in a cage.

Looking good Brother!!!

Jon

I am also intrested in this roll bar. I was thinking about new era bar but this looks beefier.

What have you done so far? I am curious what it looks like now!!!

Been on a savage binge... Sorry for the dely. but got hooked up with some LST racers and have been working on a truggy conversion for the LST.. This is the ultimate in dieting and will net a 3lb loss min.. Of course it will use a center diff and gets the engine down over 1"... Should have pics up by the middle if Feb...

Cage is about where I left off, but a tester has been sent out for a good beating.. Hope to hear the good news soon..!

Thanks for the interest... :)
