As is the case with most of us, I am expecting a check from Uncle Sam soon.
I should use it to pay off credit cards, or for other responsible purposes, BUT... I'm not going to!=devil I'm going to buy an new RC.:boxing:
The problem is, that there are too many damn choices, but I have it narrowed down to just four that will (kinda) fit the budget.
They are:
1) Axial A-10 (kit version with Goat BL system & Lipo)
2)Pro-Boat Blackjack BL catamaran RTR.
3) Blade 400 heli RTF.
4) Traxxas Rustler VXL RTR w/li-po.

So, do I crawl, float, fly, or drive?
Can I get a "Members Choice" vote?:surrender

(PS: Current stable- Savage X 4.6, Blade CX2, Blade CPP)

I would go for the Axial.

I'm amazed how many guys have gotten Axials lately.

Anyway, I recommend one of those,
the Blackjack,
and the Blade.

You won't be bored for the rest of the season.

don't build a crawler unless you have somewhere to crawl. i have built 2 really nice ones and then parted them out. the builds are the most enjoyable but then you have a $2K shelf queen.

by far my favorite truck has been my brushless firestorm. it takes a wicked beating each time i take it out and i have only busted the tranny once.

i would say rustler VXL but thats just because you don't have a firsestorm listed.

i would mirror my setup in a heartbeat. e-firestorm, mamba max 6900, max amps lipo, spektrum radio. actually i would probably go with novak if i did it again. you just can't beat sensored.

You have something against stadium trucks? LOL

Actually the Firestorm Flux, would be on my list instead, but it's not out yet.
Although, it may be, by the time the check gets here.

What do you guys think about this set up?:green-grin: Now all I need is that damn check. Also the stage 2 upgrade from Axial.

add 120 for a 5955 steering servo.

part of my list
aluminum tranny gears, hardened ring and pinion front and rear, bent lower links, losi crawler shocks. those were the priorities for mine.

The S3003 comes with the radio. Could I get by with that, for now, and then upgrade later? I know next to nothing about the different servos out there. (Always had RTRs, never built with seperates):surrender
Bent links, and some softer springs come in the stage 2 kit, along with lead weight strips for the wheels. I also added memory foam to the "Wish List". I'll look into the hardened gears though, I hadn't thought of it.
Thanks for the input, I need all the help I can get right now.
