I'm looking to purchase a new nitro 4x4 short corse truck. I'm down to 2 a traxxas slayer pro 4x4 and a team losi ten-sct do not know which one to get can you guys give me some input thank you Joshua

The losi is a race machine for sure, like hamz said what are your intentions?...for a basher I would go with the slayer, and hands down for the losi in race situations

Ok thank you for ur input my brother and i r thinking bout getting them to mess around our yard and use with my nephew he has the electric 2 wheel drive short course traxxas
So i would say bash but looking for a general good all around truck that can take a beating and not cost an arm and leg to repair
The thing bout the traxxas is the remote does not look like it has to many adjustments. Then the losi looks like the tires are not durable enough to used on asphault and dirt so with that said what would you buy
Thank you Joshua

Either your going to spend the money now or later. What I mean by this is, the Traxxas is going to be cheaper and a great bashing truck, that being said, you will be spending money on parts a lot more frequently than you would the Losi. The Losi is more expensive but you will not be buying parts as much as you would with the Traxxas. So it comes down to, do you want to save money up front or spend the extra coin and not spend as much down the road?

I would personally go with the Losi because they're pretty popular at my local track and they never break anything. I haven't seen a Losi break down yet and if you do decide to race the Losi is race ready so to speak. Also I would get a truck that's Lipo ready this way you can buy Lipos once instead of buying nimh packs and then buying Lipos later on.

You can bash the Ten SCT all-day. Unsure what is meant by 'race machine' in this context unless that means fast and durable, which is something you'd want for a basher as well, right?

If I were picking between two vehicles and the better one was $175 less, it's be a pretty easy choice. ;-)

I can recommend the Losi Ten-Series vehicles and have recommended the SCT nitro to a lot of guys who use it for bashing and they love it. I doubt you will find a more durable SCT out there.

I also have three of those Losi 3.4 engines and love them.

Its really a roll of the dice with the Slayer... There is a chance you could buy a real junker of a Slayer and a chance of landing a flawless Slayer... Its not even 50/50 its more like a 70/30, 30% buying a Slayer and having the mill hold a rock solid tune, and well 70% that requires a friggin tune every 10 minutes or so... As far as the durability of the Slayer itself, they are 100% tough as nails!! So you can take the chance with the Slayer..

On the much shorter and on a good hand the Losi Ten SCT is an absolutly awesome rig from head to toe!! Awesome results on the track as well as bashing, but not as durable bashing as the Slayer models.

So its all really up to you and what you want to do with it!
