Okay i know that there is probably a thread that i just missed thats talking about this very same topic but I'm asking anyways and sorry for that.

I have a tmaxx that has blue aluminum all through out it and with constant bashing it tears the crap out of the finish. SO... Whats the best way to deanodize something? What all do I need and how do I do it. And this would be for the chassis, bulks, skid plates, shock tower and chassis brasses.

Thanks a lot!
Zachary.

I will say the blue will come off noproblem with the heavyduty easyoff oven cleaner.BUT I purchase a green hardcore racing chassis for a RS4 2, 3 cans of oven cleaner later it was still very green? I had to take a DA sander to it to get the green off! maybe because of the coating? maybe because it is titanium? IDK but that was 3 cans of oven cleaner down the drain. Just so everyone knows.

okay so after the deano should i polish it? would polishing do any good with bashing? Wouldn't it just get all messed up like an anodized part would? or is it better to leave it dull?

your gonna need to do an initial polish, after that just let it dull. But you will need to do a first polishing to remove the oxidation the ovencleaner will leave behind.

This works, i did it...

Go buy Grease Lightning, the cleaner, put the part you want to strip in a container and fill the container with grease lightning. Then let it sit over night and alakazam.
