RC Driving Style
Well Yesterday ."Saturday" Backspur, Jazz, and myself all went out bashing.. We lost one member due to his on again, off again old lady was in town.. Anyway we started the day at the BMX track. After the nice 1/4 mile hike with gear to the track we setup a table and tuned a bit. I had a bit of glitching on my new XS3 radio :( . I tryed backspurs backup xr3 on a diffrent rx channel on my reciver seemed fine after that. So I fired up my radio no more issues on that. I did have some end point adjustment issues but I think that was do to flex in my throttle rod.. so after tweaking around a bit I decided to hit a few jumps VROOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM poop my bell crank cammed over, well a few more adjustments and that is prevented and shouldnt happen again.. Having some idling issues though for a while .. So I decide to pull out the Tower Power plugs and droped in a MC59 even though it was a longer plug. Well after some tuning it was running and idling good. poop here comes the calvary they are racing at the track. So I hike back to the truck drive it back and load up. Now we head to the Costruction site down the street from my house. Well after a hamburger that is..

Ok start it up do a little tuning damn EPA is tweaked again fix that and shes running like a banshe little .12 OS CV-RXS is pulling the front wheels up a bit and its running good ... WTF vroom vroom no go.. poop the tranny is hosed pull it out and take it apart broke the pin in the input shaft well a piece of throttle rod and a while later she is running again so fire it up a little more tunning looking good bout ready to put the lid on ; poop donuts only... Have a drive line issue. pull it in..Damn busted an output yolk... So I clean it all up and start packing up.. Once I got it all put away backspur enlightens me man run it sportmaxx style.. Thanks for waiting till all my poop was clean and packed. So a while later no front right axel and I got a sport maxx with extra weight up front. The truck was fun to drive but flys like poop front end nose dives as soon as you leave a jump could not counter this with full positive throttle. Anyway I tuned and tweeked and tuned had it running pretty damn good at the end of the day even though I am in two wheel drive mode with a piece of throttle rod holding my internals of my tranny together... Not to mention that between the two guys that were with me. They probably had 15 yokes at their homes.. Anyway that was my day....

Oh backspur ran multiple pipes on his 2.5 and found a WINNER.. I will have to coax him into writing an article about it for my site. The winner made the 2.5 an even badder little mofo...X

sounds like fun was had by most...too bad you couldn't have spent more time at the BMX track, especially after hicking your chit all the way there.

sweet. At least you got to run. I had a curb jump out at me. 100.00 dollars later. Now it is raining like mad. Damn north west. Oh well. We need the rain

mike be warry of the warning nimph I think he is in your neighborhood... remeber make your posts usefull...X

Sounds like a fun day. If you don't break SOMETHING, you're not trying hard enough! (or having enough fun!)

I feel for you x. I love to wrench, but it is best when it is to upgrade or fix something that broke from big air or a massive crash. Wrenching just to get it running right sucks. It can get frustrating, but hay, some days, when it runs great makes up for all the down days.

I'd sympathize, but I don't get to run much. So just starting your Maxx is a step ahead of me. But I did get 2 tanks through on Saturday. It was about 38 here and I could stand to be out there for a while. Sure snow's not good for the Maxx. But it's a ball in it. And there was a bit of ice pack in the yard. Nothing more pretty than a long, sweeping 4-wheel roost!!! And I spied a 4' snowbank off the far side of my yard. I'm thinking I can clear the road if I hit it fast enough.....

you sit around and tune it on a table? what and why? use the ground it doesn't cost anything.. lol plus u dont gotta carry it around.. but it sounds like u had many troubles..

The table was there dude... So why not use it?

Well u said u brought up all your gear and then u said you set up the table so i thought you carried up the table...

No the BMX track has tables in a shed we just pulle done over under the shade

If we are able to get our pickups to where we run then we pit on the tail-gates X

Oh thats cool... so its like a big public bmx track or somethin? I have one of those by me i wonder if i can ride my rc's there...
