Took her out 2 days ago after 3 months of waiting!!!!
Started rippin it around today, and boy what a blast!!!! till it caught the corner of a snow bank(rookie driver error) and did a quad sow cow landing on the back right, and blew the shock cap. Looks like aluminum shocks are next lol. Are the Traxxas Big Bores the way to go? judging by what everyone says about them, they seem pretty durable. . . .any one want to tell me other wise?? :)

Also, twice it happened where i went to steer left and there was 0 response, next attempt was normal though. . . any ideas?

Welcome to weak point #1 on a maxx. The big bores are good shocks, but I went with Dynamite/Losi maxx shocks, no top caps at all. I also use trinity blue springs, and rpm dual stage pistons, and this set up has been great for me.

I've got in trinity blue on each corner, i stiffened it before i even broke it in lol. No top caps? are those the ones with the fill resivoir on side?
