No offense I'm all for greener things but... now your not allowed to throw disposable alkaline batteries in the trash here. You have to pay to drop them off to be disposed of. I don't mind paying to recycle larger electronics since you don't throw them out very often. But since these are used so frequently it's stupid, or they could atleast provide a bin or can that goes out with the regular trash.

Just chuck em out the window as your driving down the I-5 or the 405! Do they actually root through your trash to see if you have any in there. Better yet, find one of those drains you guys have out there that's labeled "Lead to Ocean" and dump em in there!

Mine go in the burning barrell..lol.. That can't be good..lol.. (Gotta love living in the country)

umo, Irvine has a haz collection station, no charge, at the 5 and Sand Canyon, right next to the LP City Yard and dog park.

Yes, and Cali sucks. Screw the greenies! My diesel DP runs cleaner than most 2005 gasoline powered cars!

Who uses alkalines? I've been charging for over 10 years, we rarely buy batteries. :D

Yeah. The recycling idea is good but the fact you have to PAY to recycle them really bites.
