Well, i was driving my R/C around the backyard, dog in pursuit. And i drove over the full water bowl, sploosh! Got some water on the back half of the buggy, and on the electrics. Cut it off, dryed the electrics and kept going. Couple of days later, same thing except i kind of landed in it, throwing about 4 litres of water in the air, and showering my R/C. 100% saturated, every little part! Manifold was steaming and all :D Cut the engine again, dryed, and check electrics. Everything is still fine! How can this be? The T/B servo and reciever box copped it really badly. It was like someone dumped a bucket of water straight on it .Most of the water landed dead on them. Yet nothing has malfunctioned?? Seemed pretty strange to me. Oh well, not complaining!!

HOLY COW lol! I'm glad it is still treatin' you well, Brad!

Next time, run over the dry food! LOL! :)

Lol! True that!

The whole thing was like slo mo, because as the water started to fall, the R/C was stranded on the top of the bowl, wheels off the ground. I was like Noooooooooooo*slow mo* Ssssppplllaaaassshhhhh.......aaarrrrgggghhhhh!! Lol

it still might not be a bad idea to pull the servo's apart and check for moisture. Not always will a water shot makes it's damage known immediately. Just drying off the outside, if everything was sealed, taped, o-ringed, foamed etc. then sure, perhaps all is well. But to have moisture set in a servo will eventually destroy it. Make sure all your electronics are very very thoroghly cleaned out....and, while youhave them out take the time to seal them up a little better.

Then again...I just recently watched a vid of a summit drove into a lake, fished out after about 4-5 mins inverted w/ just tires barely at surface...tossed on the ground and run up a hill turned around and run right back into the lake. i think the guy should have bought a hovercraft instead of a summit...but it took it well.

Well i can't really explain how the yard is set up, but i drive it on the lawn, and theres a concrete deck at grass level about 12mX12m with table and chairs. Anyway, the dog ran through there, and i drive through in an L shape and turn 90 degrees basically. And as i got on the gas to get off the concrete, i hit the water dish. So basically it isnt in the general course, its in the detour. I just wont drive there anymore lol.
