Dam I've only had my 2.5 for 3 days and since break in I've already broken a steering block, broke a front skid plate, front bumper, stripped spur, cracked a fuel tank in half, snapped a body mount and the whole back half of my body is falling apart theres only one hole in the back for a clip to hold it dowm sheeze i have to calm down a bit i hope i dont keep brakeing stuff at this rate

Dang, you're hardcore bro. I don't normally post in the Maxx section, but what the heck did you do to inflict that kind of damage?

doin big ass jumps in like 2nd gear high speed roll overs all that fun bashing stuff oh ya i some how snapped the negative starter wire in a roll over too but was able to solder it

i dont got a digi for pics but ill see if i can manage to get one or 2 not likly though

ya I wanna see some pics too:banana: I heard the maxx isn't that durable but I'v ran like 5-6 tanks and Nothing broke yet.

i have no clue how i managed to split the fuel tank in half though any thoughts??

On my savage it's usually due to the rear shock tower ramming into the tank when it land on the left rear quarter real hard. Don't know about the Maxx. Might have been because it was cold (was it?). The plastic tends to get brittle when it's cold.

nah wasn't that cold (around 50) but i tcould possibly be the shock tower if it could bend enought with out breakin but they seem pritty stiff

Whaddup Domination...

Welcome to the Hobby bro..hehe. Just don't keep replacing broken parts with inferior stock ones over and over....lol. In the First two weeks I broke most everything short of the servo gears themselves on my Maxx:OMG:

Peace and Have fun man

YOu know what I have ran 7 tanks on my MAXX and it is still running ike a champ! The only thing that is Missing on it is the guard on the cooling head that holds the ignitor wire to the head. WHO CARES ABOUTH THAT!!! I am going to replace the head with a Nova Head anyways.....that is after I get my Monster GT NEW YEARS EVE!!! I really haven't done any jumps in second gear but I have done a few jumps going at 3-4 feet:hehe: I guess I am going to get some real good jumps at the track and in PALMDALE. There is nothing but desert and jumps there. That is going to be bitchin. I am going to get some pics of it and maybe a vid but again don't know how to load those things...Good luck Domination with your MAXX. Kick back with the breaking of parts!!!We still want to hear your take on the MAXX and how it fairs to other MT's.

oh i lost the cooling head gaurd the first day and broke the ingnitor wire the second so I'm using a glow stick now I'm thinkin of bringin it out today but not sure cause it'll be the first time in the rain

DOn't do it man the rain is a dangerous thing for Nitro cars...They don't like each other...Unless you don't care for your ride but I think it is safe to say you do which is why you break so much:worship:

i might just bring out my Ultima and then my t-maxx later on when it gets nicer out i need to get a servo saver b4 i can take out the ultima though

dang domination, instead of getting regulaer stock parts again, go and get the better stuff. find some good skid plates, try the RC solution's skids. them things are nice!

me and my pals all have maxxes, we have a "dock jump" for our bikes that has a nice vert too it, so when my supermaxx with an XTM 24.7 is coming at it going atleast 40 mph, i can get some nice air. i have gotten over 25ft with mine before

i rarelly break many things anymore cause i have learned how to actually drive and be able to "control" the beast when it is in the air.

have fun
bryan

i havent replaced the skid yet ot the bumpser (onlt half broke off) but i did replace the steering block with a metal Dynamite one along with the other rear and also replaced the spur with a hardened steel RRP one but i did put a stock tank back on i didn feel like dishin out 60 just more a metal one

He metal ones are cool but you can't se how much fuel you have through it like the stock one

Get a gas tank protector, I am not sure are good they are but I heard they do the job. My buddy has broken to tanks but they were at the mounting legs. Once on a jump and another is when we was racing in menards parking lot and a curb jumped out in front of him, oh yeah I won.

The stock tanks are weak. I fltat landed on concrete once and the whole bottom of the tank blew out from the weight of the fuel. But I have also seen them leak right out of the bag.

I would try the protectors first bt in most crashes not much can hide from the law of physics.

I totally agree about the Stock Maxx fuel thank being less then stellar. I haven't broken any yet but my bud was going through them like it was going out of style. I don't like the Alluminum tanks as you can't c how much fuel you have left. Although, not being able to c how much fuel you have is better then breaking $15.00 tanks all the time. WHen they make clear alluminum I'll get one.

As for Tank guards, I've seen various ones around and will probably endup getting one in the near future.

Peace
