This is just out of curiosity, but how strong is the cyber chassis skeleton. It looks real beefy and looks as if it could take a lot of abuse, but How strong is it REALY??? Once i get a job and get paid i may just buy the cybermaxx skelton because it looks awsome. I know eddy and christian have it, how strong is it guys???

Sorry for the lame question, i just wanna know!!!

By the way could you compare this cyber maxx to a Supermaxx?????????

I'm 6 foot 225 lbs, Any one have a super max that they will let me stand on with both feet? I do it with my CyberMaxx most every time I go to the track.

I Have almost mastered the back-flip and it has only taken me 50-60 tries. Anyone with a super maxx try that yet?

I'm now working on the front flip and it isn't easy. I have absolutely no scratches or bent fins on my engine and have only broken one A-arm and bent one shock shaft from the time I built it.

The only flaw in the setup is the drive shafts. I have to change them every so often because of the torque. They are inexpensive just 3.00 for a set.

i cna do a backflip with my supermaxx. i aint got it mastered yet but i am getting close.

Try 30 or 40 more times and post a pic of your truck and the parts list of replacements and cost. :shy:

lol, i might someday, but for right nwo my truck is kinda down. i am waiting for my cvd's to come in.

Hey thanks for the input Eddy. I guess the cybermaxx is really as tuff as it looks. How much heavier is the cyber maxx compared to a stock set up??? I'm probably going to put a sirio in there instead of a .21 (is the sirio enough to get the cybermaxx movin?) Thanks again...

Oh by the way, eddy what drives shafts do you keep breaking??? Are you talking about the center drive shafts??? And what about the skid plates. I did a search on hre about the cyber maxx and i came across either your post eddy or christians about the cybermaxx build up (sorry if i can't remember) but anyways somone said the skids where made of spring steel or somthing??? Are the skids good?? I'm not really into aluminum skids, mine have bent outta shape. How do the cyber maxx skids hold up?

Yes its the center drives. I have gone beyond breaking them and just replace them every 4-5 tanks. Its all the torque.

If you just get the cage and mount it on your Maxx the weight is minimal just a few Oz. If you use the conversion kit you will come out less than 1 lb over stock.

I'd really like to get the whole conversion kit. I think a little less than a pound over stock is great!!! The Sirio should have no problem moving that beast. I don't know if you where able to read my last posts again, i edited it asking about the skid plates. thanks again eddy.

Your engine should work just fine.
The skids are one of the best parts of the kit.
I abuse the skids and have never had to bend them back into shape, not even one time. Spring steel has an excellent memory and will bounce back into shape every time. IMO Everyone that has a Maxx Should at least get the skids. All the other companies would go out of business. The only bad part of the conversion is the center drives. They use the stock units. From what I hear they have a set of center CVDs in the works.

You should contact member ScottM he is in charge of the CyberMaxx program for RC-solutions.

Thanks again eddy, GREAT PIC SixVi6-Camaro. I've seen that pic before.. The thing about the SM chassis is the price. It's a bit rich for my blood and i'd like to go with somthing not very many people have. But thanks again for the awsome pic of the SM chassis carrying the 4runner. I think i've made up my mind. The CYbermaxx skeleton is going to be my next maxx hop up. And about $300 for all that is a good deal. I know what i'll be asking for Christmas!!!

i knew that the sm chassis was strong but damn i didnt know it could be that strong!!

The SM chassis is a good one but lets see them drive a 1:1 truck on top of a completed project.

The CyberMaxx will endure a 1:1 on top of a fully operational RC. The cage and its strength is the master design of the kit. It will allow you to get wild without worrying about trashing your 300.00 engine, radio, servos, or tank.

The two chassis and kits are top shelf but built for different applications.

fast eddy is right, they are 2 very different chassis and each of them have there strongs and their week points.

bryan

yeah very true.. they are of a very different design.

The SM chassis is to rich for your blood? The SM chassis is the same price as the cybermaxx but to each his own.

I run an SM chassis and love it. I personally don't like cages on any of my RCs. Its just a pain to do anything to it, they are heavy and many times you have to worry about clearance of heads, bodies, and shock setups. I drive my truck well though so I have to need to encase my Rc like that.

how much longer than stock is that cybermaxx chassis extended? there has to be some other alternative to stock center drives. IMO its a major flaw to sell such a well put together .21 conversion like the cybermaxx and not have a Good center drive setup available for it.

The chassis is the same length as all the other .21 conversions. The issue is the offset is 1/4 inch back. They did this to accommodate the fuel tank in the front center of the chassis. I do believe that a set of CVDs are in the works.

The cage is only an oz or two, amazingly light and the design makes it strong. Head clearance is fine. During my buildup, the factory worked closely with several of us original users using different setups to come up with a cage that would accommodate most every engine and aftermarket heads. The shock towers are designed to make shock removal a breeze and also have built on limiters.

so would it be able to fit my XTM 24.7 with an Crazy nut head on it? if u want there are some pics in my gallery of my truck. u can see how big the head is on it.

bryan

well if you think about it, the cyber maxx comes with shock towers, skids, and a roll cage ALL of about $300. The SM chassis is $300 alone (plus the braces). I'm in need of some new skids and some towers, so thats why i like the cybermaxx.

i like the cybermaxx cause it has the roll cage. considering i usually dont run my truck with a body on all the time that would be perfect for me. cause it has the roll cage on it so i dont have to worry about messing that head up.

bryan

Bryan,

The stock 24.7 fits under the roll cage with about 1/2" to spare. If the Crazy nut head adds more than that, you can take off up to 1/4" off the engine mounts to lower the engine down. The stock 24.7 head is huge already, check with a temp gauge to be sure your running temp is not too cool.
