Hey Folks,

I am wondering what folks general opinions of CVD's VS. Axles for my Revo. The Revo is still box stock but I have all winter long to prep for next season's racing. I know I will have much better clearence between the axle and turnbuckle with the CVD and I will also collect far less muck. Beyond that I am thinking they may be stronger.

I am planning on installing quick turn shafts will I be able to use them with CVD's?

It may sound like but I am really not leaning one way or the other on this. I actually just want a strong quick truck.

I have not heard of too many people that have been happy with the CVD's. I've read about them bending rather easily. I, myself, like the stock axles, they are very durable and you don't get as much "muck" build up as you think. As far as I know you can run the RD Quick Turn with CVD's if you choose that route. I run mine with the stock axles of course. Also, it's only one Quick Turn shaft that goes to your front dif.

Dumb question, but my LHS has the RD Quickturn in stock. What does it do?

from RD's website:

RD Racing Products is proud to announce the release of our Quickturn (Patent Pending) Drive Shaft for the Traxxas REVO Monster Truck.

Our REVOlutionary Quickturn Drive Shaft eliminates the front brakes and will dramatically improve the cornering of your REVO. Utilizing a concept taken from 1/8th scale buggy racing, the one way bearing design of the Quickturn allows the rear end of the REVO to rotate into and through turns and pull hard coming out of turns. It also makes jumping much more controllable by smoothing out in air flight attitude adjustments made while using the brake or throttle.

Our Quickturn Drive Shaft has been race tested and proven for durability and strength. A stainless steel one way bearing assembly and hardened steel drive pin ensure long lasting performance from the Quickturn Drive Shaft.

Uses the stock Traxxas REVO differential and brake yokes as well as the stock Traxxas REVO u-joint assemblies.

STock axles are strong and lighter than the cvds. There is really no need for them on a revo.

Quick turn does basically the same thing as a one way on a touring car.
