Cut Antenna

the other day i flipped my maxx and the antenna got ripped in to three parts I was wandering can i just twist the wire parts together amd will it work okay or do i have to replace the whole wire and if i do how Thanks

Your much better off replacing it, especially if you do not have a fail safe. If you are good at soldering, you can easily do it yoruself or else ask the guy at your LHS if he would do it for you.

They do sell a replacement antenna for it. Most RX will take it . I found it at Horizon Hobbies. But like Buncrana stated if you aren't too good at soldering then you might as well get another RX. or better yet a WHOLE ne radio system. UPGRADE!!!

I didnt mean for him to get a new receiver, just have someone who knows how do the soldering. Of course, if you were thinking of upgrading your radio gear, now would be a good time to do it, as Jon said.

sorry I sit at my desk corrected. but hell you might as well consider a new radio. So cheap nowadays.

I can solder in my sleep I have been doing it for 2 years.so were can i get a replacment.

also if you dont want to wait for it to come in the mail a 24" piece of 24 ga wire will dothe trick. I had mine like that for just about all season, I lost a little distance but we are talking when the truck was over 350-400 ft away and its hard to see that far anyway. I was on a baseball field.

Thanks Guys I whent to my LHS and got a good long piece of antenna wire cut it to length and soldered it on and presto I have got better range then before
