has anyone cut their chassis to lighten it up. I mean like cutting off the extra metal that holds nothing I was thinking about doing it but I dont know anyone how has done it.

I have never done it, I don't have a tmaxx but I don't think that would be a good idea. It would jepordize the integrity of the of the truck. Unless you have a spare chassis I wouldn't do it.

Go for it... I have a ACNCM Aluminum chassis I'm thinking of putting on the mill and lightrning up some. After seeing how thin and strong my HRC Ti chassis was I know I can mill this one down some. its THICK and heavy. So a new design will work mice

I would suggest that you are just very carefull where you remove material if you take it out in the wrong place might cause weak points=breakage exspecialy around where major parts bolt on to the chassis like motor, servos exc. I have done it to an electric rustler and it worked very well, its a little speed demon but its almost too light and doesn't get much traction. but a Maxx is so heavy with the huge tires/tranny/and axles as it is I dont think that would be a problem with it good luck

I would say that if you do it, don't cut any 90's. Keep all the corners round.

I am only going to take out the stuff under the pipe so hopfuly it turns out

Well I'm going to buy the Fast Lane Machine chassis soon. Its lighter then stock. Looks sweet plus its backed by a warranty. The way I treat my T-maxx lol I couldn't ask for nothing more. Although the stock chassis is o.k. I like the bling bling affect too.
Plus if I attempted to lighted my stocker i would mess it up lol
