what do you guys think of the ct4s?
it claims 70 mph out of the box but it is only 350
is it a good car?

Actually Cen seems to be kind of one of those sleeper companies that we are going to have to look out for. It seems that their kits are getting more and more quality to them every new kit release. I would need to get a better look at the car but it seems like something I might be interested in. Late

ct4 70mph?

Savage Bob: I went to their website, viewed their video, looked at the specs they gave for the engine rpms, final gear ratio and tire diameter I used the rcnitro online speed calculator and guess what!! It does not compute estimated top speed for the specs given would be about 53 miles an hour. I am not slaming the car it looks like it would be pretty durable but I doubt the claimed top speed.

In looking at it it probably won't do their clamed 73 miles per hour. I would only bet with their three speed conversion that it would totally do it. They claim that the car will do 80+ mph with the three speed. Still looks like a good quality kit. Have you seen their new genesis. I still think in the future that this will be a company to reckon with. Later

Newnitrofan- I do believe that if you put one of the new novarossi outlaw 15's in a nitro tc3 geared for maxiumn top end speed you would get 70 mph out of it.

Nitrohead- I honestly don't know what to believe here check out this video. Cllick on the link and scroll about half way down the page you will see it. They clocked it on a radar at 73.4MPH. Ok as far as what you said about the Rossi and the NTC3. I am sure with enough money nearly any speed is possible. That would be great speed for a shaft drive car. Later

Newnitrofan- I viewed that video along time ago and at first I was quite impressed until I looked at the spec listed for the car. The engine top rpm is listed at 35,000 the wheel diameter is listed at 2.5 and the final gear ratio is listed at 4.9. On another forum-www.rcnitro.com they have a free top speed calculator that you can use to compute your top speed, all you need to do this is the engine maxium rpm, tire diameter and final gear ratio. Well when I put in the numbers they had listed on the website I got 53 mph. So if those numbers are correct then there is a problem. I would wait until one of the rc car mags confirmed that top speed befor I believed it.
