everyone seems to forget the Venom Creeper as an option, but if i were gonna buy a crawler right now NIB, i would buy the Venom....

yeah, you're right. If I was wanting to get into it and a comp was only 2 weeks away I might take a look at the Creeper as well.

Losi won't be out until the end of March.

I already have the funds in my PP account for it and have ants in my pants.

I know a guy with a Creeper, but have not had a chance to see it perform yet.

Looks to be a solid design. Just need to toss that fugly body and put on something else.

I've seen a couple creeper builds and they look great, i would definatly run one....the losi is gonna be bad ass, but end of march is a ways off and knowing how losi likes to bump stuffs release date back i can see it not coming out for even longer than planned.

I will be picking up one hopefully in the next month or so when taxes come back. I know everyone recommends the Losi, but since I'm not competing and don't feel like waiting, I am going to pick one up as my new project. I'm planning on a quasi-build thread since it's assembled, but I'll put up pics info when I get it.

Worm driven diffs in the Losi are worth the wait for me. You can basically run any esc since drag brake will become a non-issue. Plus it gives me time to compile the rest of the needed components. The Hitec 7950TG servo I will be using for steering won't be released until the end of March either. I will be using the Mamba Sidewinder for an ESC due to it's size, cost and the fact I can program it on my computer.

Nothing against the Creeper. I think it's just as capable as the Axial.

Looking forward to the quasi-build thread.

yeah it will be worth having for sure, i just wanted to point out to new comers that want a rig right now that axial is not the only way to go...

I saw a Creeper at the last comp I was at and was not impreesed with it at all, it seemed to flop side to side real easy, like it had no stability it probably just needs some setup changes but my first impression was not a good one of the Creeper...JMO!!

I have a new venom creeper its a good stock crawler but had probelm with lockouts its fixed now and i would compare it to the axial its not bad i have rooster esc and 55 turn motor the reason someone seen it flopping around is the tires have very thin side walls the tires do what they have to do overall if u want to start up its not a bad first truck

yeah the tires are a must change, same as axials stock tires the lizards.

Those things are great! Anyone know how long the battery life is on something like that? I really hate charging forever just to play for thirty minutes, but for something like that, I can understand it hahaha.

if you run like a 7 or 8 cell high mah nimh battery you can get upwards of an our sometimes more. if you run like a kick ass 3s lipo high mah you can get ALOT!!! I've gotten around 3 hours on a shafty with a 2800 mah 3s.
