I am taking my GT up a notch... After the piston/sleeve comes back from the repinch i am going to sell my hyper 8 port... I am buying a new engine to fit in its place.... A Collari .30... I know, i have lost my mind, but i want it just to say, HA!!!!! :shrug: I'm gonna lock the rear diff with jb weld so i have no more diff probs, and it is going to be my drag car.... I'm gonna have to get out the video camera for this one!!!
 
man, i thought by now, people would try to talk me out of this crazy idea... game on!

I'm waiting for the piston/sleeve to come back... then i need to sell the 8 port... then i need to buy the collari.... it will take some time guys!!!
 
After reading about your .21 install - why would anyone want to stop you from putting in a .30? It will be fun for us to watch the progress and the final vid :)
 
What other engines are power houses under $215??? I know the picco .27 is good, but does it have the high speed rpms? What about the Wasp??? I need something reliable, and torquey... Fill me in guys... Maybe the Collari is still the way to go... i dunno... lets hear what ya have to say!!!
 
GO FOR IT!!!!! I'm about to put the nitrostar in a nMT if I can get myself to buy some front A-arms for it. IT WILL BE SICK, maybe you should wait for the .32's to come out, I doubt they will be reasonable tho. this will be a bashing drag car right??
 
Yeah, i saw the Wasp .32... Awesome.. waiting on some ratings... Maybe i will wait for that... Yeah, this will be a bashing on and off road vehicle... I really havent owned any other big blocks except for the Sirio .27r..
 
fantom .27 turns the highest (claimed) RPMS out of all the big blocks 43,000 RPMs @ 2.9 HP you could over gear the heall out of that lil bastard and still have change to spare......not the best mill out there as far as lasting long term but it will whoop ass and you probably won't be driving it that often anyway...sounds more like a novelty RC than a regular running beast.....
 
How much is the fantom??? 43,000 with 24/54 gearing.... i couldnt get it up to top speed.... When i tried 20/60 it started to take flight... I'm gonna have to weigh it down!!!
 
You can also pick up a TOP .28 on Ebay for $200 from time to time. STS .28, SH .28,Collari.30,Wasp.28, all will have too much power for ya...just enough!!! I say do the Wasp or collari.
