Has anyone else had this happen to them?

There is a hair line crack on the inside of the crank case right at the motor mount line. I wouldnt think this is from jumping or hard landing cause i havent broke anything else yet, I havent over heated the motor either. Can anyone shed some light on the subject?

You sound like a perfect canidate for some Traxxas Warranty repair. Call Traxxas tech support as that really sounds like a manufacturer defect. 1-888-TRAXXAS (1-888-872-9927) That should not happen from jumping. It really sounds like it was probably a weak spot whebn it was manufactured.

Thats what i was thinking, thanks for the info, i'll let you know what happens.

If they wont offer any help, I have a 2.5 block that I can donate. I sure dont plan on rebuilding it, and would rather give it to somone who needs it. It has a good crank and bearings, no p/s, rod or carb. LMK if you need it.

Yeah i have seen this happen to 2 different blocks. I have seen one with a crack and one the mounting tab broke all of the way off. Neither motor was mine but my friends. They like to land upside down. If you land upside down too hard on the head it will cram the block into your motor mount, bending or cracking the mounting tabs on the block. The 2 i have seen though were on a t-maxx and a rustler, it should be a little harder to do with the REVO because of the roll-bar.

of course i have rolled it a couple of times,(more like a hundred) but when it finally died i was actualy being nice to it. I will let you know what Traxxas says, and thanks for the offer to donate. I'll let you know.

i had the hsn assembly strip out of the carb. was actually striped when i got the truck but not to the point of causing a big fuel leak. anyways called traxxas, they are mailing me a new one right away without even mailing the old one in first. call them, they are very, very good and should hook you up.
