hey everybody, i have a few probably stupid questions but i am curious. i have been looking at a lot of pictures on here of other revos, i have noticed in most the driveshafts are straight. mine came new with an angle. i was wondering what advantages there are to having them straight.and how do you make that adjustment.next is bodies. i want to buy a clear uncut body but not sure what procedures, paints and processes to do. any info would be great thanks.:)

well i dunno what to tell ya about the drive shafts but i do know that mine go straight when the suspension is compressed a little bit. . .now to paint. .just make sure you get the right kind of paint (lexan paint) and make sure you paint the inside of the body not the outside, thats the only real info i have
hope this helps you a little bit

oh and if you are doing a multi colored body make sure u paint from darkest to lightest colors

if i can figure out how to get pics on here i will post a couple and show u the first body i bought all you had to do was put the last color on the inside. i would like to have my wife paint me a complete custom one any ideas on what brand i should look into?i am going to try to post pics right now.

blckrevo33, the drive shaft being at an angle is no problem. if you push your revo down the driveshafts are straight. the reason they are on angles are because when you drive they are straight and when you jump of a ramp they become to be at an angle. no problem at all

Hey. If you take some fuel line cut 2 pieces about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch and slide them down your ant. tube you can get rid of the black tape.
A dremmel is very helpful with bodys i totally agree with jackson on that one.

i know it is ok for them to be at the angle my question is what advantage do you gain with having it sit that low to where the driveshafts are straight when it just sitting there. such as handling advantages etc. i would think it would bottom out really easy.

great idea for the antenna as i have about a mile of fuel line thanks i am doing it as we speak lol

A dremmel tool is nice to have to clean up the edges.

a dremmel was one of the first things i was told to get when i bought so have that covered any other good tools to have?

a good set of hex keys are a good thing to have (go with snap-on that way if you break one you get it replaced for free), Hobby Knife(s)

I have my revo sitting pretty low having a lower center of gravity which while driving on the road makes it handle better.(no flipping)but with the tires i have makes it handle better to but when i go off road i raise it some and put my big tires on it and go.check out my pics just to give you a idea.

where are your pics i would love to check them out i am always very interested in what others do to their rigs because i have no one around here to go bashing with that has a lot of experience. i do a lot of off road very little pavement. mine seems to handle what i do with it very well not much breakage.

very nice revojackson. i like the tires and rims a lot and the scalade body looks awesome great job.
