as my thread on WHAT THE F***ING H*ll, i mentioned my car stalled after half-tank, as i notice, before it stalls on me it bogs for about a minute when i drive the truck and then stalls, could my LSN be messed up?? should i lean it out until i get it to perfection?

Do the pinch test. Pinch the fuel line a couple of inches away from the carb. If it doesn't shut off after 3-4 seconds it is rich. Also if it is rich it will speed up before it dies. But if it shuts off befroe 3 seconds it is to lean richin it up. Also the savages have the tendanceyto lean out after going past the half way mark.......Nick

engines ALWAYS rev high befor the run out of fuel, the lean themselfs out because there is not enough fuel. Head his advice with extreme caution.

even if i got the PRIMELESS tank, i dont think so.

Primerless only means you have less chances of developing an air leak. The pich test can be done on ANY tank so as for lightningboy21's advice on a pinch test, I KNOW SO. The pich test is only a gauge, just like the spit/water test on the cooling head. It gives you a pretty good baseline.

sry about what i said, i know you were only trying to help. :sorry:

i went ahead and installed an ofna 125cc fuel tank in place of the self-leaning/weird running 160cc stock tank. it was super easy to install....and only cost 10$. savage runs great at about 240 degrees from full to empty tank now.

hey alkula, how did u get it to stay on the truck, was there any modifications to it, also where can i pick that up, i would like to try it out. THANKS!! :ahh:
