How do u know if u've got the gear mesh right on the t-maxx 2.5 becuase i've had it to what i thought and it was too loose so it stripped it really bad, but can you have it too tight?

Wot are the advantages of having it too tight and the disadfantages,
Because i've tried lot's of times and it never seems to be right?

use a slip of paper or plastic between the spur and clutchbell. Once the engine has been tightened into place the paper can be removed. It should then have the correct meshing of gears. The gears should not be tight
