I like to get a firgure of engine temps from a running 5.9 mill.. Mien usually gets to 270-280 now in the cold there is plenty of blue smoke I dont understand? If I richen it up it runs like a pig..
u have to get it right some days ur going to have to richen it out and another days you will have to lean it out it all depends on how cold out it is or how warm out it is.
same here!! I'm runing my XL fairly lean and its about 280 and its a MONSTER if i richen it to run no higher then 250 like hpi says then its a slug off the line. can hpi be wrong ? lol..
i mean i leaned the lsn 1/8th and my hsn is about 2 turns in from fac. set and its a absolute beast off the line, flips on its top even in the grass at full acceleration, and its running around 280
About same here man... Its around 45-55 here now. I'm running 20% nitro trinity fuel.. I/m using a med plug i dont know what plug would be better for my application..Guess ill experiment.
chrome is worse than flat black at heat distribution. the chrome keeps heat in whereas the black disperses heat a lot more efficiently. it is proven on full size motors. flat black blocks, heads and accesories on your motor cools better than all chrome because the chrome coating reflects the heat back in. just my opinion

Well I ordered a nova rc alum head to try to help..we will see whats happens..I dont think there is any air leaks i used greens slime on the needles and also high temp permatex on carb base .
I switched from Trinity hp 20% fuel to Byrons 25% and a mccoy cold plug and also a nova cooling head.. Let me tell you it runs like a whole diff truck with way cooler running temps and runs like a raped ape..Its on the rich side and still can do monster wheelies in the dirt and grass with ease..
