So here is the story, my sister in law has bought a Wii for the folks. Her boyfriend said that they will need to have a converter box because their TV is old, he said he had the same problem with his XBox. Since the Wii is on them they thought it would be nice if I got the converter. Help me out here please, I'm an idiot when it comes to this stuff, their TV is about 10 years old and was a gift from us. (nice but inexpensive) Do I need to get something extra to make this work, where can I find it if I do?:surrender

I'm assuming you mean the TV doesn't have component inputs (those yellow/white/red inputs) anywhere and that the only input is through the coaxial cable input, correct? If that's the case, I haven't been able to find any adapter or converter box that can correct that. Do they have a set-top cable box? Does that have an auxiliary component input. I know that some might. Just a long shot, but it might. Otherwise I'm not sure what you can do.

They have cable but I have never seen a cable box at their place before. You can't plug into the Coaxial input like the older nintendo sets?
