I have read that you can get a motor off of the 2.5 maxx. Is that the .25 motor. If it is can you mount it on the old maxx without a problem. Or will there be enough room. I am working on basically converting the whole truck over. What else would I have to do. I have gotten rpm a arms proline turnbuckles. Stablemaxx wheels Now the only thing that I can think of is the motor. If anyone has tried or done this before you rhelp would be greatly appreciated. Matt

You will need a 2.5 which is actually a .15 engine long stroke small block and a bellcrank setup. also the 2.5 exhaust system that is it. It will pretty much bolt on but you have to drill 3 holes to mount a 2.5 bell crank along with making a new linkage setup...X

Does any of the tmaxx's have a .25 motor like the titan that could be put in them and also isnt the stock motor in the old tmaxx a .15 already if so what is the difference. Also would it be wise to just go ahead and buy a steel spur gear or wait and if it breaks buy another plastic one. Because I have been told that you break them often. Matt

You can put just about anything into a Maxx, with the right kit.
I have a 2.5, and the differance is night and day, the 2.5 is as powerful as some .21's. It is also the cheapest way to greatly improve your old Maxx. You can do the engine swap program( if it started yet) and send in your trx.15 and around 100$. Let me put it to you this way,I raced a old maxx with about a gallon through it, I ate it up:D
