Converting a Tmaxx 2.5 to a 4.6.. Whole truck is done except driveline
and internal tranny parts. any suggestions on the parts to use and where
I can find them.. Also there's a 3 speed conversion through rad rc for about $120 anyone put one of these in?? Thanks

Robinson Racing makes a full hardened steel gear set for the Maxx tranny. Never heard of a 3 speed conversion for the Maxx?

Rad R/C's 3rd speed replaces the slipperclutch on the outside of the transmission. You have to use buggy tires on it, and even then, you're limited on what you can use, gearing wise.

Best off to stick with the 2 speed.

The way the system is set up, the 1-2 stock shifter is made into the 2-3 shifter. Which forces the need for the smaller tires, so it can cope with the altered gear ratios.

I personally think someone should have made a different case, and a better gear setup, kinda like the 3 speed upgrade for the savage.
