alright, so i just got this truck in a trade. and i ran it and it works great, but the thing is he had no charger for the controller reciever? (would that be the reason why it would turn last night but now it wont even responde to the controller?) I have NO idea waht kind of charger i am looking for or where to get it... the little red boxx over the black muffler is the thing i need to hook up to he said to charge the reciever. and ideas? anybody? the name of this charger? maybe a link if possible? THANKS A TON!!!

It's a standard fitting, you can buy a charger in a LHS.

Alternatively, you could trace that wire back under the clear plastic box and find the battery itself. You might find it's just 4 rechargeable AA batteries, which you could replace with normal AAs like Duracells. It could however be a sealed pack.
 
Don't replace rechargeable RX packs with alkalines! Most RX packs use 5 cells not 4 to get the 6 volts that most RC vehicles use for their electronics. NiMH and LiPo RX packs have a higher capacity than the alkalines provide.
 
4 Alkaline cells @ 1.5V = 6V.
5 NiCD/NiMH @ 1.2V = 6V

That is WHY there are 5 cells in a good hump pack and why modern/good Rx systems support either 4.8V or 6V and Tx's support 9.6V or 12V. Also it depends on the NiMH's you use as to whether they have a higher capacity. Generally HQ Alkaline will have more capacity than most NiMH/NiCD, upto 3000mAh.

A major difference is that Alkaline have a near linear discharge/V curve. So they slowly drop in voltage as they discharge. NiMH/NiCDs drop only slightly for 90% of their discharge and then fall sharply and suddenly. Oddly making them MORE dangerous as Rx/Tx cells. It is also why they are not recommended for some applications like cameras as they can literally die in the time it takes a camera to wind the film from one frame to the next. Had this happen to me. Don't put them in an electric shaver either as they can die while the shaver has a lump of your fur in the blades and simple stop dead, still attached to your face.
