No doubt it has been tried,, repositioning / concealing, the antena wire.
By wrapping the wire around a small plastic or card tube, maintaining the correct length and place it inside the body.
Does it work or would range etc suffer

Yes your range would suffer pretty badly actually. They have them up for increased range. If you put in the tube and bent it backwards under the body it is better protected but still range will suffer. If you do any of this it is very important to have a fail safe so when you run out of radio range it does not just keep going on ya.

True. But not so bad if you're running a good 2.4Ghz system. Consider that the antenna wire length on the Spektrum is super short. I've done a hidden antenna wire on my drifter and still have a range that's farther than I can really see with no glitching or issues.

AM/FM? Yeah, not a good idea.

The antennas on 2.4ghz systems are only about 3-6 inches long. Plus like stated above they don't really need to stick up too much to get awesome range.

Thanx for the quick reply's..
What I have is the std unit as supplied with the Kyosho FW-06..
a PERFEX KT-3HS ??. The antenna wire is a bout 14" / 360mm long.
What I will do over the next few weeks, is try a few different setups, keeping note as to how it goes. I will let you know what happens and what I did, or should'nt have did. I will also tell you if they find my RC Nitro 10 k down the freeway.
Thanx Guys
