Can you post the log of what was found?

Also now that you've ran though that list I'd recommend downloading and running SuperAntispyware and also posting the log of what was found and removed.

This post is with IE

Looks like it is a Fire Fox Issue

Post here through IE. If it does not do it, then uninstall Firefox. Migrate all your favorites and bookmarks to IE first. for that process you might have to choose IE as your default browser. Do a search in your computer for anything with the name Firefox or Mozilla and delete everything you find. Do a cold boot, then use IE to download Firefox. Test it out here, and if everything is working correctly, set Firefox as your default browser and migrate everything back.

tri upgrading firefiox first to the latest release and see if that clears it up. If not, when you uninstall firefox, there should be an option to save all your settings (like bookmarks) or you can just go and save the file.

uninstall and reinstall FF and see what happens.

Did a fire fox upgrade let me see if that worked..

Start firefox in safe mode and disable any and all add-ons. Then test to see if the problem goes away, if so then start to enable them one by one until the problem comes back.

ok I will give that a try

Posting in safe mode

I can remote in and fix it....... go download teamviewer and pm me the id and password.

Are you going to sit and try to fix this for a week or would you like it fixed in less than 10 minutes? Up to you but I'm not going to wait around forever.

They will all be listed in "tools, add ons" in you firefox menu bar on top.
Single left click to highlight, then you'll have the option to enable or disable.

Thanks Ralph, I am thinking it is one of the tool bars that my kid downloaded with a game...

sounds like your on the right track. i would remove those toolbars anyway. I hate toolbars!

Glad all is well now and to top it off you're now on a cleaner machine from the sounds of it. :D
