dell's are kinda nice... heres my dell with minor modifications.. lol i got green neon in it that u can see in the pic and it can flash to the beat or music... but i did that a couple of years ago when i was like 10.. if i had another chance i would build one from the ground up... i use to have a few site to buy parts from.. if u need them pm me and i will try to find them

I like my Dell, never had a problem with the hardware. I formatted once because of a virus I couldn't get rid of. I had it for over 2 years now, I'd buy from them again.

I have installed literally thousands of of dell desktops at work. Very rarely to we have a problem. I personally build all my systems from scratch using parts I purchase at Computer shows or www.newegg.com

I personally voted for Other, I would suggest buidling your own for best bang for the buck. You get exactly what you want, and nothing you dont. If building your own seems too intimidating, I'd suggest Dell

Being a Mac user, I have to abstain...but I am forced to use some rather nice Dell towers and laptops. From what I can tell in the PC world, if you have the know-how, then build one to your own specs and enjoy.

I have built my own for more years then I care to remember. You can get a great unit for a good price. My last 4 computers, I have purchased HP units and have nothing but good things to say about them. The prices have dropped on full systems including the FP monitors. For me it doesn't pay to do it myself. By the time you add in the software packages they include as well as the convenience of just taking it out of the box and plugging it in, the choice for me is clear.

Another thing to look at is computability issues with different parts that a DYI may be using. Not all parts work together well. I can't afford the time and inconvenience this may cause.

I did get a "Cow Box" computer that failed out of the box and offered POOR customer support. It was a business computer and I would have been without it for 2-4 weeks while it was being repaired. I promptly CHUCKED it into the back of my pickup (Can you say Pent up aggression?) and returned it to the store, replaced it with an HP and never looked back.

IBM.

Something just solid and business-like about them. Their corporation and support sucks majorly. But I like the comp's.

I am on my second Dell computer. Never had any problems with either one and I intend to buy another one from them when the time comes.

Also getting ready to buy the wife a laptop from them.

Non of the above. I detest brand name computers. Build your own, or find a reputable local builder. I like to have the disks for my OS, not restore disks that reload a bunch of useless software, that screwed things up in the first place.
