i am thinking about saving money for a Collari .30. who caries them? does hobbytown usa or colpar hobbies? cuz those are my only local hobby stores. is the Collari .30 break in procedure difficult? is the tunning on em' hard? how much are they?

peace mark

Hobby town should be able to carry them, I know my local store does. Or better yet get them here

rushrc.com

Tuneing is a little tricky, the needles are very sensitive to changes, including atmospheric changes. Break is easy, make sure you use the standard procedures for break in such as heating up the head and loosening the glow plug. Lots more info in the power plant forum.

k thanks. but what gas works best for the collari? best glow plug? and whats the best gearing combo?what do people mean by gearing combo? is it the spur gear and the clutch bell? or is it the actual tranmition gears? thanks, I'm looking forward to my collari .30 and i want all of the facts i need for it before hand.

peace, mark

ok if i get it i'll get it from rush rc. n e one know how much they sell em for? i tried their website and they are moving or something. THANKS!

Any 1/8 scale pipe will work with the Collari, it runs well with either 20% or 30%. Glow plugs will depend on what area you are in, and if you are new at tuning I would stick with the S-25. If you depend on your hobbyshop to tune your engine you will be visiting them often. It will require a slight tweak everytime you run.

how much is a slight tweek? i could probally do that. a slight tweek lean or rich???

Depends on the weather ,maybe a 1/8 turn leaner when it get hotter, 1/8 richer turn when it got cooler. These could vary depending loctaion, weather, elevation, ect. You will have to tune everytime you run. Inexpirenced tuners Beware.

well when u have to re tune it every time u drive it........is it a slight tweek or toatly re tune it? which needle wuld i have to re tune..........I'm not very good at tunning but i wuld also like to get better at it and have a engine as powerful as the collari in my savage................the first tune i have my LSH do it cuz the engine books arent right for my elevation...........i find the first tune hard.....but minor tunning i could do.....................

Its not totally retuning tweaks are needed they could be slight as 1/16 or as big as 1/4 lean or rich depending on the weather and the collari is sensitive to weather changes. Tweaks can vary on the elevation and weather. Needle could be just lsn or hsn or both once again depends on weather.
