stripped my spur hub i need upgraded hub,bearing and shoes.compare the ones at traxxas? got the integy 58 spur gear on it.could this have stripped my hub?
 
you may have not had the clutch and sput gear messed very good and that caused the gear to strip
 
i remeber tighting the nut that holds the spur gear on very tight next time ill back if off a 1/4 as others have stated here.also i know the bearing hub cover was loose to the point it came off.propably seized up. whats the best way to match the spurgear to the engine bell gear.should the spurgear turn when in idle position?
 
the best way to mesh the clutch gear and spur gear is with a peice of paper between the teeth... some people do it by feel to but it may cost you a few spur gears to get that right tho..
my spur gear will turn sitting in the idlepostion so that is a yes
