Well I almost have a gallon of fuel through this now and I have a problem. Today at the shop I went to start it and it was trying to turn the tires and making come nice chunck noise. Well I dont know what parts I need to order so I figurd someone on here probly knows for sure what I need. I think its in the slipper clutch and whatever else....
The last time I ran it I thought the clutch was slpping a bit but then it died and I figured things got to wet out in the sonw. Thanks for your help.:D

If the wheels are turning as you're trying to start the truck up then you're clutch shoes are still engaged in the clutch bell. I'd yank that engine out of the truck and try spinning the clutch bell with your finger. If it doesn't spin freely take the bell off to see if you've got something irregular going on with your clutch shoes. If all seems to be fine with the clutch bell, the next thing I'd check is inside of the tranny. It's really very simple to get it out of the truck and open it up. Do you still have reverse on your truck? If so you may have stripped or broken one of those gears and the broken parts are grinding inside of there. You won't know until you get it open and take a look inside to see what you're dealing with. It would be hard to say for sure what you need, if anything at all, to fix the problem you're having. Definitely more trouble shooting needed to figure out what you'll need...

I still have the reverse. Maybe a good time to add FOC. Thanks for the advice. Figured sombody has had the same things happen!!

+1 on take it apart and inspect things, most likely your clutch shoes are the issue easy fix and it is possible that you dont need anything besides putting the clutch shoes back on. generally I would replace the clutch shoes if that were the issue just so I didn't have to worry about it. there are many clutch upgrade options out there for about $12-$13.

Cool were should I go to get the clutch upgrades at, What would you reomend?? I'll be shoping on the mighty internet.

I bought mine at Rcsuperstore.com but One of the forums sponsors will have one. I got the Integy 3 piece(Need clutch tool) and I have about three gallons thru it and still wheelies on demand. the clutch tool makes the job easier though.

Ok i'll wait to see what the fourm sponsor's say. Thanks.

What is the clutch tool?? is it like a clutch allignment tool?

Ok I just pulled the motor. The clutch bell? I think is what it is, On the motor dosnt turn free without making some noise. The clutch turns good Clockwise but not counterclok wise.
I think the problem is in the clutch bell and shoes. Is there a complete rebuild kit/upgrade for this??

Ok so I took the clutch bell off and That is the problem. Pices fell out. the spring is broke and so are the clutch shoes. The bell is burnt duhh, it got perty hot. Is it junk? I have a stock set up. 15tooth to a 38tooth. The plastic 38 has a flat spot so I'll need that to.

Anybody have any sugestions, stay stock? change gears? Upgrades/mods?

Thanks again F*%$newguy:D

as far as clutch bells and spurs I do know to stay away from integy mine seem to be too soft. I put the Robinson racing spur and clutch bell when I replaced the clutch and there still isn't any real signs of wear they make solid stuff. This is the combo that I used.

keep the stock clutch bell it should be fine... you can either buy the integy 5062 aluminum clutch for 17 buck at towerhobbies.com or you can get a new stocker from towerhobbies.com as well but the integy is a much better piece. as it is a 3-shoe design and has aluminum shoes..

i have put mine on and off without a clutch tool. makes your fingers a bit sore but not to bad

integy

stock(this one is same as stock but a little better quality from MIP)

running in the snow will nuke clutches so be carefull

FOC= Forword only conversion, takes out your reverse gears and optidrive system. was designed for racing but i think it was a good way to cover up a bad design flaw with there optidrive/reverse combo.

i always used the Integey 3 shoe clutch and never used any tool, just a small flat tip screw driver. its very easy to do that way once youve seen it done. check u tube

Thanks Mattyfats420, I am assuming the clutch comes with instructions. I'll have to do a search on you tube to see the easy way. This will be my first time with a clutch this small!! I feel like I should know my way around this, but I am learning..hate not knowing for sure. You wouldnt have the link to this on utube would you??
Thanks again:D

i would change your bearings in the bell as well. when you blow clutches do to heat you have a tendency to irregulate the bearings. The LHS should have them for about $1.00 each...buy a bunch and leave them in your box. I also if your gonna use the traxxas 2 peice clutch shoes again, look for the higher stall version. i will try to get a part number.

no problem man. or if you want, you can get the aluminum shoes from traxxas, I've heard there good. they look and install just like the stock shoes but there just aluminum and cheaper.

the integy one you get flywheel, shoes, springs and instructions.
IMO the integy kit is Great, i rarely like anything they have to offer but this one item i used on a whim cuz i didnt know anything really about RCs, had money to spend, and it looked cool. but amazingly after i heard all the "bad" stuff integy makes, i had doubts. but this one item was worth every penny. i used it on my 2.5R, 3.3 and my OS.18-TM.

let me know if you have any problems with the installation, i remember how to install it.

Thanks for the help. The wife says I'll have to wait till after X-mass before I spend money on the truck. I better listen I'm not that good of a cook, Its getting to cold to BBQ every night out side:D:D

if you want to get a quick fix for now, i have my old spare stock clutch shoes, spring and flywheel. cover shipping charges and its yours. i recently sold my revo so i got alot of stock parts, and 2.5R upgrade parts laying around i dont need anymore.

let me know

Thanks for the offer!:D I will just wait and buy new. No hurry here, I have to much snow to plow to play with now. Time to fire up the 800 RMK and go play in the mountains:D:D:D

Seems these clutches are an issue. I just barely put 700cc through my revo, (2nd tank after break in) and i threw a clutch pad. Looking at it, it would seem impossible to come out unless the pad itself broke in half accross the pin holes and separated that way. I contacted traxxas to see if they will warranty it but I'm not holding my breath. In the mean time, I don't have easy access to parts and if you are still looking to unload your spare revo parts, let me know what all you got and what you think shipping will be to an APO. I am always interested in spare parts...keeps the ones i have from breaking. I only break what I don't have.

I received my new 3 piece clutch from Integy. There are no instructions, can anybody help me with this?
