i converted my hyper 7 to a three show clutch.. i had the "pro" flywheel already, and i got some mugen carbon shoes, and some mugen 1.1mm chrome springs..

my question is, are these the right springs? they seem very stiff (all i have to compare to are savage factory springs) the buggy runs great and raps up fast but thats what I'm afraid of, that its taking to much rpm to engage.. it seems to need quite a bit more then my old clutch (two shoe with the long spring) if this is acceptable I'm happy.. i just dont wanna mess it up..

thanks guys

If you never used a centax clutch, you'll be in for a suprise on how many RPM's you'll need to get it moving.

centax?? my savage has a three shoe but softer springs.. this one just seems high

Some people like to grab later, which will give you better punch off the line, others don't like it. Runnng Mugen Carbons with 1.1mm is not gunna hurt anything, its really preference.

Yep, it's all preference....if you think it's breaking loose at the wheel when you start try a softer spring next time.....welcome to the wonderful world of clutch tuning 101 Beason...this is the next level of frustration you must overcome on the road to pro driving.....knock yourself out kiddo
