Clutch Shoes

Hi, is there a way to tell if your clutch shoes are bad without taking it apart and when do you know its time to change them and what shoes should you put in next?

If you have a temperature gun check the cb temp the next time you run it and see if it's heating up moreso than the other metal surrounding the engine . You'll also notice a loss of power if your shoes are slipping. If you want a better clutch install a slider and there are several kinds to choose from.

could i get a link or something for the slider clutch?, and how hot till the shoes slip cause the last time a ran it it was like 170F-185F

take a look at this clutch and fly wheel set up..4 shoe.iam running this in my pcr buggy with a ws711 in it..gives great hook up..

I'd also suggest trying the HPI 3 shoe clutch, which is my next upgrade.

well, i wanna find something to put in my savage so that it has REally good response like after you put the racing clutch in and on the first hole

if you want punch then go for the 4 shoe from ue.like i said gives great hook up..of the line.
