Hi, is there a way to tell if your clutch shoes are bad without taking it apart and when do you know its time to change them and what shoes should you put in next?

If you have a temperature gun check the cb temp the next time you run it and see if it's heating up moreso than the other metal surrounding the engine . You'll also notice a loss of power if your shoes are slipping. If you want a better clutch install a slider and there are several kinds to choose from.

could i get a link or something for the slider clutch?, and how hot till the shoes slip cause the last time a ran it it was like 170F-185F

well, i wanna find something to put in my savage so that it has REally good response like after you put the racing clutch in and on the first hole

Would aluminum cluthc shoes last longer and give me better performance or it doesn't really matter?

I have asked that qeustion myself to get the same reply,I dont guess anyone here has experiance with them.
