Hey guys i just got my new 3 shoe setup for my truck, do i need a different nut holding on the flywheel than stock? The reason i am asking is my other truck has a groove on the nut which the tension half of the spring sets in. And baseically b4 my install, i just install little washers on flywheel then shoe with spring in the middle of shoe and then pry tension end of spring down on the nut right? Thanks In Advance.

What clutch set up is it? My 3 shoe didn't use washers, just shims for the bell.
You'll need a couple of smaller flat head screw drivers, one for the shoes and one for the springs if you don't have a clutch tool. Once you get the spring where you want it you have to pull the tag end over the peg and push the shoe down at the same time.
And you'll need that clutch nut with the channel in it otherwise your shoes won't line up, that is if you can even make them all fit with the springs in the way. The stock one can be filed out to house the springs if thats all you have. It is painful but it will work.

its the hot racing lt weght aluminum 3 shoe clutch. Contents were 3 washers(spacers i assume) 3 springs 3 aluminum shoes and the flywheel. I just figured the spacers went on b4 the shoes to keep them off the flywheel?
