I have a tmaxx 3.3 and I think I messed the clutch up. It will not engage and if you adjust it to where it will engage it wont slip and kills the motor! Its all or nothing. Did I overtighten it and ruin it this is my first rc so I am pretty ignorant at this! any ideas?

I assume you're talking about the slipper clutch on the spur gear. I would take the whole assemply apart and make sure the plates are in good shape. Give them a good once over withe some sand paper and make sure the red pegs are all in good shape. And might as well replace the spur while you're at it. It's a cheap replacement.

The slipper adjustment should be all the way tight then back it off 1/4 turn and tune it from there to your liking.
