so on the clutch that comes directly my engine, it is acting odd, i ran it in some dust and rocky conditions today. the problem is that it is not spinning as freely as it should. when i spin the spur gear in the direction that doesn't make the car move forward it will not spin freely anymore, i have adjusted the engine placement and that is not the problem. what is going on here?:\

ok ill give er a try and report back, how should i go about taking off the engine though. I've tried in the past but that darn throttle rod is hard to get off the engine

Ball cups just pop off. Give it a little twist and pop it off. Use needle nose pliers. Just be careful and go easy. Don't bend where it attaches to the carb. Also use blue locktite on the engine bolts when you reassemble. Use a piece of paper to set your gear mesh.

racer 1966 you were right I've broken a spring thanks

Before you throw it out and order a new one, if just the end broke off, you can make a new loop and put it back on to use until you get a new one.

Trust me, it works. I've done it twice with the same spring :) When I first got my Speed-NT, the spring broke while I was tuning it, I couldn't find a match, and didn't want to replace a brand new clutch, so I looped it. Then when I got a new motor (first one only lasted 45days) it happened again, this time on the other end of the spring. So I looped it again!

I'm going to be ordering a new one soon.
