Hey i think my clutch is worn out but i am not 100% sure.. I took my truck out to run it and i notice every time i give it gas it dies out. I also notice the day before when it was running good i notice that it will slip a little then the truck will go. I also notice when i spin the spur gear i feel some tension coming from the clutch..

What could be my problem? Clutch needs new pads?

I would pull the motor and inspect the clutch and clutch bell bearings
then you know for sure whats going on

Took the engine out and i remove the clutch housing.. And i notice that the clutch spring and clutch pads were real low and broken in a few spots..

So I guess it was the clutch, Will pick up a new clutch from my LHS and see if that fixes it.

i would think, assuming u have the stock spring and clutch setup, maybe u should upgrade to the 3 shoe setup. Installed one on my revo and works great.

If your clutch is worn out the eng should die on exceleration
Yeah it does, Every time i accelerate it will die out

Oh, Really how much does a 3 shoe setup cost? I might just buy new clutch pads for now sense they are only 7 buxs at my LHS and i know the 3 shoe setup is more then that...

Well idk there is a integy kit for like 12$ on ebay, but not sure how they r because i hear alot of negative feedback about integy parts. I believe the one i bought was hot racing or something and can't really remember the price. My original spring kept breaking the hooks off the ends.

If its made by Integy and its NOT shiny..... Its probably a good product. Stay away from "decorative" Integy junk - shocks, arms or just about any suspension component they make. The tools and clutches are a couple of solid products they make

I agree with Phins Fan , I have a integy 3 shoe clutch on my t maxx and it works great and they are relatively cheap about 12 dollars.

I modified the springs on my kit I drilled the holes deeper and installed springs from a MGT 1/8 scale, the springs give a small stall on excel, if you buy this clutch let me know I'll tell you how its done.

I still don't think the eng dying out has anything to do with the clutch being worn out.

I'm running a mip clutch shoe and spring on my 3.3 t maxx and they work great! they have 2 holes so you can have a lighter or heavy clutch set-up.

I am going to look on Ebay for that clutch, I will probably order one.. Did you notice a difference in it?

Oreally, Like it was working perfectly fine yesterday then it stalled out. And now it dies when i give it gas. And i notice the clutch was broken/ worn out

i definitely noticed a difference in durability, broke two spring ends in no time. Switched to the 3 shoe and have not had an issue since. I also agree with the comments above, i believe if the clutch is worn out it should slip and rev high and not move as good due to slippage. i would guess ur problem is somewhere else, maybe carb or tuning issues? Not saying the clutch upgrade is a bad idea, maybe kind or preventive maintnence and some performance upgrade from better grab by the seperate 3 shoe clutch grab. Just not sure its gonna fix ur problem.

There is a big difference between broken, and worn out.

Broken spring or shoe(s) will cause an engine to stall. Worn shoes will not.

Well a broken spring or shoes would act as though the clutch was engaged all the time wouldnt it. When my spring broke it was very hard to get running due to it throwing the arms instantly, and when i did get it running it would just take off at a slow and steady pace.
