Alright, so my car is a 2-Speed. I was running it today and I noticed that the car wouldn't move and my engine was revving really high. I went to go check and when I throttled, the big spur didn't move, only the small one. Any help?

Hmm, I think it is starting to strip, I saw gaps on some of the teeth. Should I upgrade to the metal ones?

No need to. On an on-road there's just not enough shock to mess up the gear mesh enough to strip it. Just buy a replacement plastic one and MAKE SURE the mesh is right the second time around. (stick a piece of paper between the gears and push them together, tighten it, and then remove the paper. Should be all set)

might be a good idea (coming from a guy that burns though gears like an ant under a magnifying glass) They aren't cheap though and less give in the spur gear can lead to problems farther down the line.
