So I got out n ran my truck today at the bmx park and got prolly 3 tanks through and it died. Tried to start it, and it would turn over n jam up immediatly and I couldn't turn the wheels. I look down into where my clutch bell is and the clutch bell shoved over the e clip n the pads n springs flew everywhere. So now I've got a jammed pile of scrap under my spur gear. Any clue why it did this and what I can do to make sure it doesn't happen again?

Make sure you have a teflon washer behind the e-clip and make sure the e-clip is new. You may have had bad bearings though, sometimes they go bad and spin on the shaft wearing away at the e-clip.

Yea I looked at em last night, that closeup oh the 5t form behind looks bada**, lol. Yea pulled that thing apart last night it was torn to hell and ripped a big chunk out my spur gear. Also clutch shoes were in like 5 pieces and the springs were wrapped all around everythin and caught in the spur it obliterated it for sure.

Sounds like the clutch got way too hot. Check for binding in the drivetrain while you have 'er torn apart. Also be sure and shim the bell properly. You want just a tick of play in it. Just enough wiggle room for the bell to have room to expand once it's warm. Now would be the time to replace the bearings as well.

Yea I'm thinkin bout just sellin this thing honestly gettin sick of nitro maintenance from now on I thiink I'm BL only but well see ill get pics up tonight
