I'm having trouble keeping my gears meshed up, by the time i burn through a tank the motor seems to move is that normal? is there a better way to keep it where its at? (i use loctite) i have a os cvr 18 on a .15 tmaxx

I'm also having trouble with my high stall clutch it slips more than i like, is there a way to get it to grap better or is that just how a high stall is? for example when it shifts to 2nd i can hear it slip also some times when i launch

thanx for all the help guys!

As far as keeping the engine from moving, Loctite and a fair amount of torque are your best bet. If it's lined up and tightened down good, it shouldn't slip.

As for the clutch, are you sure it's the engine clutch slipping and not your slipper that's too loose? I remember those slipper pegs wearing out pretty quick when I owned a Maxx. Back in the day, the popular mod was to drop 12 1/8 scale diff balls into the spur gear holes rather than the slipper pegs. That would give you good lock, good adjustability and smooth action. Not sure how many people do it nowadays.

maybe i dont get it tight enough in scared to really bare down on it I'm a big guy and its just a little bolt i really dont want to break the motor mount

guess i need to test that out to really see if its the slipper but I'm pretty sure its the clutch since it was almost on fire lol may need a new clutch and now probably a new spur gear since i ran it while it wasn't meshed right
