i was changing my spur gear today.. (hit a culvert and stripped the last one) well the only one lhs had was a 52 tooth I'm like ok thats fine.. well i get home and put it in and no matter what i do its always to tight.. i can set it loose and as soon as i tighten the motor mount its to tight.. so i get to looking and guess what.... my savage has a frikin 18 tooth clutch bell.. i thought they came with 15 and 17!! well now my 52 tooth wont fit.. and thats prolly the reason i still can't get a wheelie out of the beast. so now I'm off to the f/s /t section to see if anyone has an extra one i can get cheep..

has anyone seen a 19 tooth clutch bell on a savage?? i was like whoa.. lol
i bought the savage slightly used and this was on it.. it came with another one that is 15 tooth but its on my buggy

I believe the highest the CB you can go with a 52T spur is 16T.

When you by a RTR savage it comes with an extra clutch bell 19 tooth for on road use only. So the person you bought it from must have installed the 19 tooth bell and gave you the stock 15 tooth with it.

actually you can fit a 17t bell and you'll have to pull the motor as far as you can and tighten it and the mesh will be just right. the gearing will be wierd though cause the 52t on a 17t bell started melting the backside of the spur and then eventually melted the teeth off.

you can get a vented cb on e-bay for about $10 shipped. vented will help keep the shoes, bell, and spur cooler.

ok i figured it out.. I'm taking the 15t off my buggy and putting it on the savage.. that fixes that.. AND I'm getting a 16t or 17t and putting that on my buggy because my brake disk was rubbing my clutch bell and a bigger one will fix that also right?? now the only problem is the LHS isnt open on mondays!! (yea i hear ya thats what i said to) but i have to wait on my new brake pads for the buggy anyway so i guess i can go tomorrow..

What in the world? The stock savage comes with a 15 and an 18 not a 17 or 19. Just letting yall know.
