Okay i have narrowed my issue down to a clogged hsn. I am wondering what a good way of cleaning it is, or do i get a new needle?

It's really simple to take the HSN assembly a part. If you want to keep the tune close to what it is,first turn the needle all the way in and count the turns/partial turn until it lightly seats then unscrew it all the way out. There a couple of o-rings on it. Remove them. then the barrel can be unscrewed from the main carb.
You can clean by soaking fuel and blowing it out with air. When you reassemble be sure to lube the o-rings(vasoline works well). Lightly seat the needle then back it out the number of turns you counted.
