HI there everyone ,

My exhaust is a real state. it has a lot of dirt almost ingraved in the metal. How do you get that off. It is the Hyper chromed pipe.

i would soak it in something like simple green or some other all purpose cleaner, and take tooth brush to it to loosen it up. the once it is clean again you can buff it out

You could use a dremel with a buffing wheel and some rubbing compound. I used one on my 30gb ipod, and it took the scratches right out in less than 2 minutes.

I thought I gave you a tip.....you are running an OFF-Road vehicle through OFF-ROAD conditions and you are concerned with how it looks?!?!? if yyou want a shelf queen build one...and run the piss out of your buggy like it was meant to be run....when you run in the dirt the poop gets hurt...suck ti up and rub some dirt on it son....

I would suggest that if the performance of the pipe isn't affected, then you have been given appropriate tips.

Soak it in cleaning solution, scrub the dirt off or out of the gouges/scratches, and then polish it. If it still doesn't look pretty enough for you, then buy a new one to put on there when you aren't running it. Otherwise, expect it to get beat up, dirty, and eventually broken. That is the nature of running offroad RCs.

The other way to clean your pipe is to boil it it water this will loosen even the most stuborn dirt then with a 12 gauge shot gun brush and handle clean the inside of the pipe.even use Gun oil then rinse with nitro blast or carb cleaner. now to make it look pretty again. get yourself a terry cloth towel and some crome polish and start rubbin her slowly at first then keepin good pressure on the pipe speed up your stroks for the finish But the most important part is to stop right in the middle of puttin on the polish and letting it sit there for just a minuet or two. the buff it man buff it.

But you do realize that you're just going to get it all bashed up again unless you race your off road on road!!! kinda different but hey it could happen. anyway MY polished pipe looks more like...............well...............a non polished pipe.
