If you're going to pull it apart and clean it, get the carb rebuild kit so that you can put it back together with all new seals.

The kit that comes with a brand new carb body and new o-rings runs around $10 beacuse I bought one, and I'm sure you can buy the O-Rings and gaskets seperate for a few bucks.
 
If you run your rc regularly you shouldn't have to worry about the carb until a seals start leaking. If it sits up for a while then it might need to be cleaned/rebuilt.
