I have the pro .15 max. I'm getting ready to get the OS 18 for it. Before I do I'd like to widen it. I know they have the wheel hub extenders. I was thinking I'd like to go with wider a arms though. Will I have to get longer axels?

this is what I'm thinkin,if u r talking about the wide arm kit you need 3.3 axles carriers, turnbuckles and stub axles that go through the carriers.

What are you about to pay for that engine? Maybee time to cut your losses and get a newer truck with all the goodies allready on it.

I agree you may want to look around at other models you could get in that price range and than make a choice. It's a chunk of change there.

Aside from the wheel extenders you can look at an offset rim package that can give you another 1" width by themselves. Be careful with the rims/extenders as they typically put more strain on the wheelbearings. If your going to upgrade anything on the suspension maybe look at the RPM axle carriers as I believe they come with 14mm bearings which is a substancial upgrade over stock.

I've found the engine for 120$. Id like to get a savage later on but I want new so that purchase will have to wait. I figured for less than half the price of the savage I can make this truck fun enough to keep me busy till I can afford the big purchase. Then I'll have this truck ready for my oldest son to get into the hobby.

I run the hell out of my tmaxx and aside from the OS .18 it is pretty well stock but extremely powerful/fast. Kinda have the same idea for my boy in the future only I was thinking the Revo route instead of the Savage. Either way our boys are gonna be happy with what they get
