Hi Everyone, How's it going? Here's the official build thread for my Traxxas E-Revo 1.0 Brushless Edition if you all have seen the build showcase i did for this truck you may already know the story of how i got this truck.
But here's a short version i saw this truck on eBay as a roller with wheels\tires, body and original pair of Traxxas 2075 servos included but was pretty dirty and beaten a little bit i was originally looking at nicer complete examples but i ended with this one since i thought it would make a nice restoration project. I bought this truck for $225 + shipping which was $25 and Oklahoma tax which made the roller cost close to $270 on June 10th 2026 it took close to 2 weeks to get from Komoko, IN to Oklahoma City, OK but in Indiana there was severe weather going on which played part in it getting delayed. But it came from FedEx on June 22nd and i spent the last week rebuilding and restoring it then i installed a stock Castle\Traxxas MXL-6S ESC and 2,200kv Motor combo from one of these trucks then i installed one of my Spektrum receivers an SR315 unit and bound it to my Spektrum iXSR+.
After some tuning after a couple of runs this truck is possibly the best feeling best performing 6s basher i've driven so far compared to my old Traxxas Sledge which ran the stock electronics this E-Revo BL Edition feels super nice and fun to drive. I got inspired by two of my all time favorite RC YouTubers like Jason Perrin and Jang from Ultimate RC who both owned these trucks especially Jason's his was beautiful almost like new with a bunch of mods.
Here's some pics of what it looks like after the restoration.
Here's a couple of pics of what it looked like before the restoration.
The truck was pretty dirty as i mentioned when i got it but the servos were fully functional even came with a Y-Harness although i used a Hackfab bonded one i also replaced all of the rubber boots around the pillow balls on all 4 corners also replaced all 4 driveshafts with new stock ones that weren't binding and had rotten boots on them. I also inspected and refilled the diffs and i checked all 4 shocks and they felt smooth and were full with clean fluid.
I still have lots of upgrades planned for this truck moving forward and i hope to have many more fun runs with this truck maybe get myself another Traxxas Sledge to compare it to.
I hope you all enjoyed this build threat and you'll follow it for more updates as time goes on with this fun new project of mine.
