Been out bashing five or six times since Christmas, very impressed with the SS, this is one awesome truck. Only trouble is all the chrome has come off my stock wheels? White plastic underneath!
I've been cleaning the truck with something called methylated spirits, as far as I can tell, this is called denatured alcohol in the US. It's basically methanol, a little bit of ethanol and something to make you sick if you try and drink it!
The rest of the truck is fine and the meths works well, but the chrome on the wheels is toast! (The plastic is fine underneath)
Anyone seen this or heard of this before?:opps:

that is typical.... chrome paint doesn't hold very well or any other paint on top of plastic if you bash your truck.. plus the cleaner you are using is used to soften or clean paint off..

Mine didn't last very long neither. Very normal to peel off.
