I just ordered some Spaz stix Mirror Chrome paint for the airbrush and I saw that they suggested NOT to use spazstix Black backing for it.. Then what should a person use? What have you guys used? I'm thinking of white, or even silver. Any suggestions?

Are you sure? I remember they did suggest to use spazstix Black backing while ago. I have done a few and they looks great.

FRom what I gather, SpazStix has 2 different types of chrome out. There generic chrome, & the all new Mirror Chrome..

I would try emailing the guys/gals over at SpazStix for a definate answer... I've always backed chrome with black though... Unless your doing one of the Hard Anno. Metal paints..
Thats a whole different ball game.... :)

Edited out misinformation...
Sorry about that, I was ASSuming their Blackbacker was water based.. I've always used FasBlack to back my bodies..

I have a can of the SpazStix Gloss Black/Backer, and it says, "DO NOT apply SpazStix Black/Backer to areas painted with SpazStix (mirror) chrome. A water-base sealer must be used". I've been backing the SpazStix mirror chrome with FasKolor black and it works great. Just let the chrome dry completely (don't use a hair-dryer).

SpazStix recommends using the Black/Backer for their color-change paints.

Thats what I saw and was talkin about silent. So a different brand of black must work then... Ill spray it with some fas color black then too. Thanks for the tips!
