Christmas Trees

Looks pretty damn stupid if ya ask me... This is my 2nd year with a pre-lit 7ft faux tree. Looks very real, but lacks that nice real pine smell. I got tired of spending $30-$40 every year for a tree that gets thrown out..

$30 to $40??? Around here that only buys a 2-3 footer. Gotta whip out at least $70 for a decent 6-7 footer. What a rip-off.

Wow,here a 6-7 ft is like $25. I guess it is because most of the nations Christmas Trees come from here Oregon.

We head to the farm, pay our 20 bucks, and we cut down our own 12ft. christmas tree, bungee cord it to the roof and drive it home :)

That is completely retarded. Imagine walking into someones house and seeing an upside down tree. Especially if it was a christmas party or something and "the new neighbors" come as see that thing haha. Oregon has TONS of christmas trees!!!! its crazy. I agree with ImBroken, my fake tree looks real, but I always miss the smell. Although, my allergies would be going crazy with this new puppy (pics soon) and a real tree.

I dont like the upside down thing... just doesn't look right.. We have had our 7-foot prelit tree for 3 years now, and i like it... I just go by some nice pine scented candles, and that does the trick for me. I personally love the fresh pine smell.

My inlaws got a fake tree about 3 years ago. At that time I proclaimed that only gummers got fake trees. Now there is no way I can get a fake tree or I will never hear the end of it.

I agree, fake trees suck. And that whole upside down thing just seems retarded to me.

I don't get the upside down thing?? We also have a 7' fake tree, but it does look good, very full, branches go about 6" from the floor, and we also do the pine sent stuff.

I had the brainstorm 2 years ago to hang a nice tree from out ceiling.. like a 9 or 10 footer or so which would give us a couple feet from the floor for gifts. I thought it would be interesting but my wife wasn't diggin it. About 2 weeks later we walked into a furniture store at a mall and they were everywhere... freakin everywhere! Being used as chandaliers above dining tables. I couldn't believe it! I thought I was the one with the great idea... I'm sure this happens to everybody. Now it seems to be quite the popular thing I guess, I mean, it made general chaos.

ever since my parents bought this house we have had a fake tree (about 12 years) My dad said maybe we will get a new one next year. The brances are kinda skinny and not as puffy as they should be. That storage makes them kinda crunch up. It would be nice to have a real one, dad says there to much of a mess.
As for the upside down tree...WTF?!

Sounds like ya all are missing the point of the mess; it gives ya an excuse to buy a Shopvac.
